Definition of Radicand
A radicand is the value that is under the root symbol (the radical symbol).
For example,
- The radicand in \(\sqrt[3]{x^3 + 6}\) is \(x^3 + 6\).
- The radicand in \(\sqrt[17]{12}\) is \(12\).
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
