Definition of Sequence
A sequence is a list of objects, letters or numbers, written in a particular order.
For example, the numbers \(1,4,9,16,25,\dots\) form a sequence which has its first term equal to \(1\). The terms of the sequence are the square numbers, starting with \(1\).
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms. Students learn a new math skill every week at school, sometimes just before they start a new skill, if they want to look at what a specific term means, this is where this dictionary will become handy and a go-to guide for a student.
