Definition of Square (Numbers)
To square a number means to multiply a number by iteself.
For example, \(5\) squared is \(5 \times 5 = 25\). We often write this as \(5^2 = 25\) to indicate that \(5\) is multiplied by itself twice.
The result of squaring an integer is a square number. The square numbers are \(1,4,9,16,25,\dots\).
Description
