Successive
Definition of Successive

Two or more numbers (or objects) are successive if one comes straight after the other, without any other numbers (or objects) of the same type in between them.
For example,
- The months January, February and March are successive months.
- \(1\) and \(2\) are successive numbers.
- \(2\) and \(4\) are successive even numbers.
- \(3\) and \(5\) are successive prime numbers.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms. Students learn a new math skill every week at school, sometimes just before they start a new skill, if they want to look at what a specific term means, this is where this dictionary will become handy and a go-to guide for a student.
