Codomain
Definition of Codomain
The codomain is the set of all possible output values of a function. It is not the same as the range
The range is the set of all values that are obtained by applying the function to values from the domain.
For example, the absolute value function can be considered to be a function with domain \(\mathbb{R}\) and codomain \(\mathbb{R}\). However, its range is the set of all non-negative real numbers. So, its codomain is much larger than its range.
