Cointerior Angles
Definition of Cointerior Angles
Cointerior angles are formed when two lines are crossed by a transversal (another line). The angles that occur
- Between the lines
- On the same side of the transversal
Note that the lines and transversal form a boxy "C" shape. The cointerior angles are the angles that occur inside the corners of the "C".
When the lines that are crossed by the transversal are parallel, the cointerior angles add up to \(180^\circ\).
