Cube Number
Definition of Cube Number
A cube number is the result of multiplying a number by itself three times.
For example, \(4 \times 4 \times 4 = 64\) is a cube number.
The first five cube numbers are:
- \(1 = 1 \times 1 \times 1\)
- \(8 = 2 \times 2 \times 2\)
- \(27 = 3 \times 3 \times 3\)
- \(64 = 4 \times 4 \times 4 \)
- \(125 = 5 \times 5 \times 5 \)
Cube numbers correspond to the volumes of cubes. For example, \(5^3 = 5 \times 5 \times 5\) is the volume of a cube with side length \(5\).
