Credit Worthy
Definition of Credit Worthy
Someone is credit worthy if they have gained enough trust to buy something on credit. They might be able to demonstrate that they always pay their bills, or have enough assets and/or income to repay a loan.
For example, Jasmin has a regular job, always pays her bills and owns a car. The bank is likely to loan her money as they view her to be credit worthy.
On the other hand, Al is on unemployment benefits, never pays his bills and has no assets. A bank is unlikely to loan Al any money.
